Covid-safeTY protocols

In general

  1. We will conduct a pre-project strategy session to ensure minimum risk and maximum coverage.

  2. Should we deem a work opportunity to be unsafe for ourselves or others, we have a responsibility to turn down the project.

  3. Neither clients, nor Jolly Road Productions, will be held liable if a Jolly Road filmmaker gets Covid-19 while on our production.

  4. Jolly Road filmmakers will not take on an assignment if they are exhibiting symptoms of Covid-19.

PREPARING FOR THE SHOOT

  1. We will have a team conversation about the risk factors, health, safety and symptoms of Covid-19, and how to recognize them in ourselves and others.

  2. Every member of our production team will be required to mention any relevant health issues they have.

  3. We will check local & state government websites for coronavirus updates and resources specific to the area of filmmaking.

PREPARING FOR THE SHOOT

  1. Filmmakers will take extra precautions including:

    • Filmmakers will wear masks at all times.

    • Filmmakers will have an extra mask on hand at all times.

    • Filmmakers will wash or sanitize their hands frequently while on a shoot.

    • Filmmakers will disinfect all equipment before each and every recording session, and throughout the shoot day whenever they have the opportunity to.

    • Filmmakers will refrain from all body contact with anyone. Including shaking hands or bumping elbows.

    • Jolly Road filmmakers will respectfully cancel an assignment if people in close proximity on the project are exhibiting symptoms of Covid-19.

PREPARING FOR THE SHOOT

  1. Filmmakers will position themselves and equipment safely / socially distant from everyone throughout the shoot.

  2. on interview productions, This means instead of positioning immediately beside interviewer or moderator, filmmaker will strategically position themselves >6 feet away, ideally behind and slightly off to the side.

  3. To ensure an intimate line of sight and close up shots as needed, filmmaker will utilize a situation appropriate zoom lens.

  4. Additional microphones and / or strategic adjustments to audio capture will ensure great sound capture.

  5. Should subjects / respondents require lavaliere microphones, filmmaker will disinfect microphones prior to each session. This is both for their safety and the safety of the filmmaker. In addition, filmmakers will not mic subjects / respondents. Instead, filmmaker will talk subjects / respondents through micing themselves up.
